Year over year

What changed

  • Detail revisions refreshed the grille and trim for the final year of the 1967–1971 body.
  • The same three-model body range and 429/SelectShift power team continued.
  • Ford expanded personalization through Special Brougham and sunroof options without creating additional model lines.

Worth knowing

Notable

  • This was the last four-door Thunderbird; the redesigned 1972 range returned to a single two-door body type.
