Overview
For 1966 Ford split the Thunderbird hardtop range into Conventional Hardtop, blind-quarter Town Hardtop, and vinyl-roof Town Landau, alongside the Convertible. The standard Z-code 390 rose to 315 hp and the Q-code 428 offered 345 hp; the factory manual identifies both engines and no manual transmission.
