A heavily restyled LX (the LD), the long-running modern Charger sedan. Home of the supercharged SRT Hellcat (from 2015) and the 797-hp Hellcat Redeye; the V8 sedan was retired at the end of 2023.

The 2021 model year

Overview

The 2021 Charger expanded to eight retail models by adding GT AWD and the new 797-hp SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. Regular Hellcat output rose to 717 hp. The police range also changed fundamentally: V6 became AWD and V8 became rear-drive, with both adopting eight-speed automatics. Those two Pursuit configurations must not be inferred from the 2020 fleet matrix.

  • GT AWD joined the retail range, giving both SXT and GT rear- and all-wheel-drive variants.
  • SRT Hellcat output increased from 707 to 717 hp.
  • SRT Hellcat Redeye debuted with 797 hp, 707 lb-ft and a claimed 203-mph top speed.
  • Pursuit changed to V6 AWD and V8 RWD, both with eight-speed automatics.
