A heavily restyled LX (the LD), the long-running modern Charger sedan. Home of the supercharged SRT Hellcat (from 2015) and the 797-hp Hellcat Redeye; the V8 sedan was retired at the end of 2023.

The 2014 model year

Overview

The 2014 Charger was the final model year of the original LD exterior before the 2015 facelift. Its core SE/SXT/R/T/SRT drivetrain structure continued, while Dodge added a separately specified SRT Super Bee beneath the fully equipped SRT. The brochure also documents 300-hp Rallye, Redline, Blacktop and AWD Sport Appearance V6 packages rather than applying that output to every Pentastar car.

  • SRT Super Bee returned as a distinct 470-hp model with cloth performance seats, fixed high-performance suspension and simplified equipment.
  • The 300-hp V6 package roster expanded to include Redline and an AWD Sport Appearance Package alongside Rallye and Blacktop.
  • The regular SRT retained adaptive damping and a richer leather-trimmed specification above Super Bee.
  • Core transmission and AWD boundaries carried over from 2013 ahead of the 2015 redesign.

  • Verify SE five- versus eight-speed transmission before service; V6 SXT models use the eight-speed, while V8 models retain the five-speed.
  • AWD is valid on specified SXT and R/T models but not SE, Road & Track, SRT or Super Bee.
  • A 300-hp badge or parts assumption requires a documented appearance package; standard V6 output remains 292 hp.
