The 2015 model year

Overview

The 2015 Charger received a near-total exterior redesign and a new driver-focused interior while retaining the LD platform. A TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic became standard across the range. The roster stretched from rear- or all-wheel-drive Pentastar V6 models through the 370-hp R/T, new 485-hp R/T Scat Pack and SRT 392, and the debut 707-hp SRT Hellcat.

  • Nearly every exterior body panel was reshaped, with new projector headlamps, LED lighting and a tighter racetrack-taillamp treatment.
  • The eight-speed automatic became standard across the entire V6 and V8 lineup.
  • R/T Scat Pack and SRT 392 introduced the 485-hp 6.4-liter calibration in two distinct chassis/equipment specifications.
  • SRT Hellcat debuted with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI rated at 707 hp and 650 lb-ft.

Reliability & ownership notes

  • AWD applies to the 3.6-liter SE and SXT factory models; do not order 2015 R/T AWD parts from the prior-year catalog structure.
  • The 292-hp V6 rises to 300 hp only with the Rallye Group, so intake/exhaust and calibration assumptions must follow the package.
  • R/T Scat Pack and SRT 392 share a 485-hp 6.4-liter engine but differ in brakes, adaptive-damping hardware, tires and standard equipment.
  • The Hellcat uses a supercharged 6.2-liter engine and strengthened transmission; service parts and fluid requirements must not be inferred from the naturally aspirated 6.4-liter cars.
