Chevrolet Silverado History
History
The Silverado launched for 1999 as the successor to the long-running C/K, taking its name from the C/K's top trim level. It is one of America's best-selling vehicles, GM's answer to the Ford F-150.
Across several generations it has offered a wide range of gas and Duramax diesel powertrains, premium High Country trims, off-road ZR2 models, and an all-electric Silverado EV.
