History
The G3 made its world debut at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and entered customer deliveries in China in December 2018, making it XPeng's first production vehicle. The compact SUV was powered by a front-mounted electric motor and offered NEDC-rated range of around 365–520 km depending on battery trim, with XPeng's then-nascent autonomous-driving assistance system (known as XPILOT) fitted as standard on higher grades.
A facelifted variant, the G3i, was introduced in July 2021 with updated styling, a revised interior, and improved ADAS software. Sales declined sharply as newer models drew attention; XPeng confirmed the G3 and G3i would be discontinued in December 2023. Total production ran from late 2018 to approximately end-2023.
