Perodua Viva History

Launched in 2007, the Viva succeeded both the Kancil and Kelisa as Perodua's entry-level offering, based on the Daihatsu Boon Tempo (Daihatsu Move Latte). It was offered with 660 cc and 850 cc three-cylinder engines to maintain ultra-low running costs.

The Viva served Malaysia's budget segment for seven years before the Axia replaced it in September 2014. Its discontinuation also marked the end of Perodua's sub-1000 cc naturally aspirated lineup, as the Axia moved to a more modern 1.0 L platform.
