History

Launched on 21 July 2016, the Bezza was a milestone for Perodua: the brand's first sedan and its first major in-house design. Built on the Axia's platform, it was offered with both the existing 1.0 L engine and a new 1.3 L unit, with D-CVT on the top variants.

The Bezza was also the first car to roll off Perodua's new factory in Serendah, Selangor, symbolising the company's expanded manufacturing capacity. It quickly became the best-selling sedan in Malaysia and remains in production, having received a facelift and steady variant updates in subsequent years.
