History
The Li ONE was unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show (April 2019) and entered series production in November 2019, with customer deliveries beginning in early 2020. It was the first production vehicle from Li Auto and the company's single product for its first two years on the market.
Its powertrain was distinctive for the premium segment: a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged range extender fed a 40.6 kWh CATL battery paired with dual electric motors producing 240 kW combined, giving an all-electric range of roughly 188 km (NEDC) and a total range exceeding 1,000 km. The package addressed Chinese consumers' 'range anxiety' without requiring a dense charging network.
The Li ONE became the best-selling new-energy vehicle in China's PHEV/EREV premium segment through 2020 and into 2021, with more than 211,000 units delivered before the nameplate was discontinued in October 2022 to make way for its successor, the Li L8, which occupied the same six-seat mid-size SUV slot.
