Li Auto Li L7 History

Announced alongside the L8 in September 2022, the Li L7 entered deliveries on March 1, 2023 in Pro and Max trims, becoming Li Auto's first dedicated five-seat model. Where the L8 and L9 prioritise three-row family capacity, the L7 trades the third row for a flatter cargo floor and a more driver-focused two-row interior.

The L7 shares the L-series EREV architecture: 1.5-litre range extender, LFP battery, dual motors, 4WD. In testing, Li Auto cited a total range of up to 1,421 km in EREV mode — among the highest figures claimed for any series-production vehicle of the era. It was updated alongside the rest of the L-series in May 2025.
