History
Launched in 2011 from the LRX concept, the Range Rover Evoque (L538) was the smallest, most fashion-forward Range Rover yet — a compact, coupe-influenced luxury crossover that brought the brand to a younger, more urban buyer and sold strongly worldwide. Three-door, five-door, and even a convertible body style were offered.
The second generation (L551), launched in 2018, carried over the design language while adding mild-hybrid and plug-in-hybrid powertrains, keeping the Evoque as one of Land Rover's key volume models and effectively the successor to the discontinued Freelander at the small end of the range.
