History
Revealed at the end of 2013 and launched at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the Huracán replaced the Gallardo as Lamborghini's 'entry-level' supercar, sharing its 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 (now producing 610 hp) with the Audi R8. The LP 610-4 featured a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox — a first for Lamborghini, replacing the e-gear single clutch — and all-wheel drive, with a rear-wheel-drive LP 580-2 added in 2015.
Over its 10-year production run the Huracán family grew to include the Spyder (2016), the dramatically updated EVO (2019) with integrated vehicle dynamics control, the rear-drive Performante variants, and the track-biased Tecnica and STO (Super Trofeo Omologata). By the time the final Huracán left Sant'Agata Bolognese in 2024, more than 20,000 had been produced — the highest volume of any Lamborghini supercar.
The Huracán was succeeded by the Temerario, revealed in 2024 with a twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain.
