History
The Great Wall Cannon (known in many markets as the GWM Poer) debuted at the April 2019 Shanghai Auto Show as GWM's upmarket, lifestyle-oriented pickup, built on the P71 platform shared with the Haval H9 off-road SUV.
Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing around 197 hp and paired with an 8-speed automatic, the Cannon targets buyers who want SUV-like comfort and a capable body-on-frame truck — a formula that made it one of the top-three best-selling pickups in Chinese history within eight months of launch.
The model is exported to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America, and the Middle East under the Cannon name, where it competes with the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.
