Geely Monjaro (Xingyue L) History
History
Launched on 20 July 2021 in Hangzhou, the Geely Xingyue L (codename KX11) is Geely's flagship mid-size SUV, built on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform shared with Volvo and Lynk & Co. Pre-orders ahead of the launch reached nearly 30,000 units, underscoring pent-up demand for a premium Geely product. It was designed at Geely's Design Global Center in Shanghai.
For export markets — beginning with the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia) in 2022 — the Xingyue L wears the Monjaro badge. Powertrain options include a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version, with a conventional hybrid i-HEV added in China in April 2026.
