History

The Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 was revealed in June 2025 and rolled off the production line in August 2025, with sales launches following in September 2025. It rides on BYD's DMS (Dual Mode Super) plug-in hybrid system — distinct from the DMO body-on-frame platform of the Bao 5/8 — using a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine (115 kW) paired with front (160 kW) and rear (200 kW) electric motors in a monocoque five-door SUV body.

Two battery options were offered: a 26.6 kWh LFP pack (entry, 100–105 km electric range, CLTC) and a 35.6 kWh LFP pack (top trim, 130 km range). Dimensions of 4,999 mm length and 2,920 mm wheelbase place it in the large SUV class. LiDAR-based intelligent driving assistance, a D-shaped steering wheel, and a large panoramic roof are standard on higher trims. A flash-charging variant was unveiled in March 2026.
