Fang Cheng Bao Formula X History
History
Fang Cheng Bao unveiled the Formula X concept at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show in April 2026, marking a sharp pivot beyond the brand's off-road SUV origins. The two-seat open supercar features a carbon-fibre monocoque and scissor doors, with a tri-motor powertrain rated at 1,000 hp (745 kW) and 1,000 Nm of torque riding on an 800-volt electrical architecture. At least 19 functional aerodynamic vents were counted on the concept body.
Production is planned for 2027, according to reporting from CarNewsChina (April 2026). The Formula X was shown alongside the Formula S and Formula SL — three-motor performance sedans positioning Fang Cheng Bao as a rival to Porsche in the performance EV space — representing the brand's most ambitious expansion since its 2023 founding.
