History
The Ford GT revived the spirit of the Le Mans-winning GT40. The first modern GT (2005–2006) paired retro styling with a supercharged 5.4-liter V8.
The second GT (2017–2022) was a carbon-fiber, twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 mid-engine car built to win at Le Mans — which it did in 2016, fifty years after the GT40's first victory.
