History

Introduced in October 1908, the Ford Model T made car ownership attainable for ordinary Americans and is widely credited with putting the world on wheels.

Henry Ford's moving assembly line, introduced in 1913, drove the price down year after year; by the time production ended in 1927, more than 15 million Model Ts had been built — a record that stood for decades.
