Bufori V6i History

Running alongside the MK II for just two years (1992–1994), the V6i was Bufori's first serious performance car. It swapped the rear-mounted Volkswagen flat-four for a front-mounted 3.8-litre Buick V6, giving the light roadster enough power to reach a claimed top speed of 240 km/h.

The V6i was raced in the 1994 Australian Cannonball Run, demonstrating the brand's motorsport ambitions at a time when Bufori was still a small Sydney operation. Only a handful were built, and the model was discontinued in 1994 as the company pivoted to expand the more commercially successful MK II line.
