Bufori CS8 History

Unveiled during Malaysia's Merdeka independence week in August 2025, the CS8 represented ten years of development and the most powerful Bufori ever built. At its heart is a supercharged 6.4-litre Chrysler HEMI V8 producing 810 hp (750 hp at the rear wheels) and 973 Nm of torque, driving the rear axle through an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The CS8's carbon-fibre and Kevlar composite body keeps kerb weight to just 1,550 kg — giving a power-to-weight ratio that translates to a 0–100 km/h sprint of 3.0 seconds and a claimed top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). The project began with the BMS R1 race prototype displayed in 2009, evolved through three CS test prototypes completed in 2016, and was jointly developed with Axle Motorsports under the Bufori Motor Sports (BMS) banner.

Priced at RM 2,188,888 on-the-road in Malaysia (approximately US$470,000 at launch), the CS8 is entirely bespoke: buyers choose their own paint, upholstery, and trim materials. No two CS8s are alike. Its launch confirmed Bufori's ambition to compete with low-volume European grand tourers on performance credentials as well as exclusivity.
