Anadol Böcek History

The Böcek ('beetle' in Turkish) was Anadol's most unconventional offering — an open, buggy-style leisure vehicle produced between 1975 and 1977. It used the familiar 1.3-litre Ford Kent engine in a lightweight fiberglass open body, positioned as a recreational vehicle rather than a conventional road car.

Production reached only 203 units in two model years, making it one of Anadol's rarest models alongside the STC-16. The Böcek did not find a large enough market to survive beyond 1977, but it stands as evidence of the breadth of body styles Otosan attempted during Anadol's most ambitious period in the mid-1970s.
