Zagato Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato History

Presented at the 1965 Turin Motor Show, the Lancia Fulvia Sport was a distinct two-seat fastback coupe designed and assembled entirely by Zagato on the Fulvia Coupé platform. The first series used an all-aluminium alloy bodyshell, keeping weight to a minimum and exploiting the Fulvia's front-wheel-drive V4 engine for competitive class results in rallying.

A second series, launched at the 1970 Turin Motor Show, switched to an all-steel body for cost and structural reasons. Total production across both series reached 7,102 cars — the highest volume of any single Zagato-bodied model in the studio's classic period — giving the Sport a broader market presence than the ultra-rare Alfa TZ or Aston Martin collaborations.
