History

The 6/99 arrived in 1959 as Wolseley's full-size saloon, sharing its Pininfarina-styled body with the Austin A99 Westminster and the Vanden Plas Princess 3-Litre. It used BMC's 2.9-litre C-series straight-six (about 102 bhp) and offered the marque's traditional grille and a more luxurious cabin than its Austin cousin.

Around 13,108 were built before it was updated into the 6/110 for 1961.
