History

Unveiled in March 2021 and delivering its first 100 units to Vietnamese customers in December of that year, the VF e34 was both VinFast's and Vietnam's first battery electric vehicle. It is a subcompact crossover — 4,300 mm long on a 2,611 mm wheelbase — powered by a front-mounted 147 hp electric motor fed by a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery, giving a claimed range of 300 km.

The VF e34 was designed primarily for the domestic market, where it served as proof that VinFast could develop and manufacture purpose-built EVs. Its launch preceded the brand's wholesale ICE exit and set the template for the numbered VF lineup that would follow for global markets.
