VinFast VF 6 History

Also previewed at CES 2022, the VF 6 is VinFast's B-segment entry — a subcompact electric crossover aimed at mainstream urban buyers. A single 150 kW front motor drives the standard Eco trim, while a Plus trim adds a second motor for AWD. The 59.6 kWh LFP battery delivers up to 410 km WLTP range in Eco trim.

VinFast launched the VF 6 for sale in France, Germany, and the Netherlands in December 2024, pricing from €33,990 (Eco) to €37,990 (Plus). The model's LFP chemistry was selected for lower cost and longer cycle life — a pragmatic choice for volume market penetration. Vietnamese deliveries preceded European sales.
