Stutz IV-Porte History

As the two-door Blackhawk established the revived Stutz as a maker of ultra-expensive neoclassic luxury cars, the company added a four-door sedan, the IV-Porte (the name a play on 'four-door'). It used GM's B-body platform — shared with the Pontiac Bonneville, Oldsmobile Delta 88/Royale, and Buick LeSabre — and received Stutz's signature hand-finished coachwork: exaggerated chrome grille, opera roof, and formal detailing.

The IV-Porte ran from 1979 through 1981, when it was discontinued and replaced by the longer Victoria limousine. Given the tiny scale of Stutz's revival-era operation, exact production totals for the IV-Porte are not reliably documented.
