Stutz Bearcat II History

In 1987, as Blackhawk coupe production wound down, Stutz Motor Car of America introduced the Bearcat II — a completely new convertible designed to revive the legendary pre-war Bearcat name. It was the last new model from the revival company.

Factory production of the Bearcat II ran from 1987 through 1995, with only 12 or 13 examples built — making it one of the rarest American cars of the modern era. Across the entire revival period (1971–1995), approximately 617 cars of all models are estimated to have been produced. Factory production of Stutz vehicles formally ceased in 1995.
