Stoewer G4 History

The G4 was introduced in 1907 (some sources cite 1908) as a lower-cost, middle-market car powered by a 1,500 cc four-cylinder engine producing approximately 6/12 PS, with shaft drive replacing the chain drive of earlier Stoewers. Roughly a four-year production run followed.

With 1,070 cars produced, the G4 was the most successful Stoewer model of its era and cemented the brand's position in the German market. It demonstrated that Stoewer could build practical, volume cars alongside its more adventurous offerings.
