History

The Yeti launched at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show as Škoda's first-ever SUV, built on a modified Octavia platform and offering flexible VarioFlex rear seats that could be removed entirely. It won Top Gear Magazine's Family Car of the Year in 2009 and achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating.

A 2013 facelift divided the range into standard Yeti and rugged Yeti Outdoor variants. At its 2014 peak the model sold more than 102,900 units globally. Production ended in 2017, with the Karoq taking over the compact-SUV slot.
