Škoda Enyaq History
History
Revealed in Prague in September 2020, the Enyaq iV is Škoda's first purpose-built battery-electric vehicle, built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform — the same underpinning as the Volkswagen ID.4. Mass production began in Mladá Boleslav in November 2020, making it the first MEB car built in Central Europe.
A coupé-roof variant (Enyaq Coupé) followed, and a high-performance RS derivative with dual motors and up to 340 hp was introduced for buyers wanting hot-hatch performance in a large-crossover body. A 2025 facelift refreshed the exterior and interior; by that point the Enyaq had established itself as one of Europe's top-selling electric crossovers.
