Ram ProMaster History
History
Launched as a 2014 model, the Ram ProMaster brought Fiat's long-running Ducato van to North America as the first jointly developed Ram Truck / Fiat Professional product. Its front-wheel-drive layout gives it a low, flat load floor and a tall, boxy cargo area, and it launched with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6.
Offered in multiple roof heights and wheelbases as a cargo van, window van and cutaway, the ProMaster became a favorite base for camper-van and Class B RV conversions thanks to its square interior and stand-up height. It competes with the Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in the full-size commercial van class.
