Ram Chassis Cab History
History
Ram added the Chassis Cab to its lineup for 2011, shortly after the brand split, offering the 3500, 4500 and 5500 as bare-frame commercial trucks designed to be fitted with service bodies, flatbeds, dump beds, tow rigs and other work upfits.
Built around the Heavy Duty platform and powered by the Hemi V8 or the Cummins diesel, the Chassis Cab targets fleet, construction and municipal buyers rather than retail pickup shoppers, and remains a staple of Ram's commercial business.
