History
The Lightning Cat entered production in 2022 as Ora's flagship sedan, positioned in the D-segment alongside much pricier European electric cars. Its styling generated controversy for its strong resemblance to the Porsche 911 and Panamera silhouette. The top all-wheel-drive model produces 300 kW (402 hp) and reaches 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, while the range-topping 83.5 kWh NMC pack delivers up to 640 km (NEDC).
International sales began in 2023 under the GWM Ora 07 nameplate, reaching markets including Singapore in January 2025. An Ora Lightning Cat Touring estate variant was unveiled in April 2025, extending the nameplate into the wagon segment.
