History

The Favorit appeared in 1929 as Adler's medium-sized offering, powered by a 1,943 cc four-cylinder engine, sitting between the large Standard 6 and the entry-level models in the range. Like all Adlers of the period, it was rear-wheel driven.

An updated version with a 40 PS output continued through 1933–1934 before the Favorit nameplate was retired, its market segment being absorbed by the new front-drive Trumpf line.
