Introduced in 1934, the Trumpf Junior used a 995 cc four-cylinder engine producing 25–28 PS and, like the larger Trumpf, was front-wheel driven with independent suspension on all four wheels — unusually advanced engineering for a budget car of the mid-1930s.
A Sport variant (1935–1937) offered a more open, roadster-style body to attract enthusiast buyers. The standard saloon and cabriolet models proved popular and remained in production until 1941, making the Trumpf Junior one of the longest-lived Adler models and one of the last cars the company built before wartime halted civilian production.
