Mini Aceman History
History
The Aceman is a battery-electric small crossover that sits between the electric Cooper hatch and the larger Countryman, launched as part of Mini's 2024 model offensive. It is the first Mini designed only as an EV, with no petrol equivalent.
A John Cooper Works version was revealed in 2024, marking Mini's move to extend its performance sub-brand into the electric era.
As a China-built EV, the Aceman's US launch was deferred indefinitely in late 2024 — a decision Mini tied to tariffs on Chinese-made electric cars — so it was not offered in the US market at launch.
