History
The Countryman was Mini's first crossover and its first model with four conventional doors and optional all-wheel drive ('ALL4'). Launched for 2011 (the R60), it gave the marque a foothold in the booming small-SUV segment and quickly became one of its best-sellers.
The second generation (F60) arrived for 2017, grew larger, and offered a plug-in hybrid. The third-generation Countryman (U25), unveiled in 2023 and built in Germany on BMW's FAAR platform alongside the BMW X1, became the largest Mini yet and added the marque's first fully electric Countryman.
