History
The Villager was Mercury's minivan, the product of a joint venture with Nissan: it was co-developed with and mechanically near-identical to the Nissan Quest, using Nissan V6 power and assembled at Ford's Ohio plant.
Sold across two generations from 1993 to 2002, the Villager gave Mercury an entry in the booming 1990s minivan market before being replaced late in the brand's life by the Monterey.
