Maxus V90 History

The Maxus V90 was unveiled at the Auto Shanghai motor show in 2019 as the next-generation large van intended to succeed the V80. It is a purpose-built commercial vehicle offered in panel-van, minibus, and crew configurations, with seating for two to eighteen passengers depending on body specification.

In European markets the V90 is sold as the Maxus Deliver 9, reflecting the brand's shift away from the LDV name in the UK and Ireland from 2020. The all-electric version, the eDeliver 9, is offered with three battery options — 51.5 kWh, 72 kWh, and 88.5 kWh — powered by a 150 kW electric motor and capable of up to 219 miles of range (WLTP). It competes directly with the Ford E-Transit and Mercedes eSprinter in the European electric van segment.

The diesel variant uses a 2.0-litre turbodiesel producing 150 hp and 375 N·m, meeting Euro 6 and China 6 emission standards. The V90's broader wheelbase and longer load bay over the V80 made it better suited to the growing demand for last-mile delivery operators.
