History
Launched in 2014 through Maruti's premium NEXA retail channel, the Ciaz was a mid-size sedan positioned above the Dzire, targeting buyers wanting a traditional three-box car with more space and a premium feel.
The Ciaz received a significant facelift in 2018 and adopted a mild-hybrid system, but declining sedan demand in India saw production wind down in early 2025, with the model phased out by around April 2025.
