History
Launched in 2014, the Celerio introduced Automated Manual Transmission (AMT — a robotised single-clutch system) to the Indian mass market for the first time in a sub-four-lakh car, making automatic driving accessible to budget buyers who had previously faced a large premium for a conventional torque-converter automatic.
A second-generation Celerio arrived in 2021 with a new 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine claiming best-in-class fuel efficiency.
