History

The Viaggio entered production in 1988 as a companion intercity coach to the Paradiso, pitched at a slightly lower market tier and mounted on standard rear-engined chassis from the major Brazilian OEMs. In Brazil the original Viaggio ran through 1993.

The Viaggio name was revived in 2020 for a Mexico-specific variant, demonstrating Marcopolo's strategy of maintaining recognisable product families across its international operations.
