Locomobile Model 30 History

By the end of the 1900s Locomobile had fully committed to large, expensive gasoline cars built to an uncompromising standard. The Model 30 was its six-cylinder offering of the early 1910s, a premium touring car positioned just beneath the larger and even costlier Model 48.

Like all Locomobiles of the period it was sold as a chassis to be fitted with bodywork to order, and traded on the company's reputation for materials and workmanship that ranked among the finest in the world. It ran through 1913 before the lineup was reshuffled around the Model 38 and the long-lived Model 48.
