History

Debuted at the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2016 and launched in March 2017, the X80 was Lifan's largest and most powerful SUV. At 4,820 mm long and 1,760 mm tall with three-row, seven-seat seating, it targeted family buyers who needed significantly more space than the X60 offered.

A single turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 192 hp and 286 N·m drove the front wheels through a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox, giving the X80 genuine performance headroom in the Chinese mid-size SUV segment. Production continued through 2020 and Lifan's bankruptcy proceedings.
