History
Launched in 2012, the Lifan 720 — sold internationally as the Cebrium — was the brand's first genuine mid-size sedan, sitting above the Solano-family compacts in both price and size. It targeted the growing Chinese aspirational-buyer segment with a larger cabin and more refined interior.
The 720 was offered with 1.8-litre petrol engines and automatic transmissions, positioning it as a comfort-oriented alternative to the Solano. Production ran through 2017, when declining domestic competitiveness amid an explosion of better-equipped Chinese SUVs pushed demand toward the X60 and X70 crossovers.
