Lifan X70 (Pengfei) History

Presented at Lifan's Global Dealers' Conference on 21 September 2017 in Lijiang and launched commercially in spring 2018 (Russia first, then China and South America), the X70 — marketed as the Pengfei — stepped up in size and specification from the X60 that had carried the brand through most of the 2010s.

The X70 offered a more contemporary exterior design and a more feature-rich interior aimed at buyers who had outgrown the X60's budget positioning. Production ran until Lifan's bankruptcy reorganization in 2020, making it one of the brand's final passenger vehicle entries.
