Koenigsegg Gemera History

Revealed at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show press days (which were cancelled due to the pandemic, making it a digital unveil), the Gemera is Koenigsegg's first four-seat production car. Its name is Swedish for 'to give more.' Production began near the end of 2024, with deliveries following in 2025; the run is limited to 300 units.

The production Gemera uses an updated version of Koenigsegg's 'Hot-Vee' twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 paired with electric motors, producing a combined 2,300 hp on E85 (approximately 1,715 kW). This makes it the most powerful fully road-homologated production car at the time of its production launch. A nine-speed Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission (LSTT) — an evolution of the Jesko's LST — manages the powertrain outputs.

Despite its four-seat layout and grand-touring intent, the Gemera targets a 0–100 km/h time of under 1.9 seconds, enabled by the electric motors' immediate torque. It carries four full-size seats, luggage space, and a carbon-fiber body, illustrating Koenigsegg's stated goal of removing the compromise between performance and usability.
