History

Introduced in 2017, the JAC Refine S7 was a C-segment crossover SUV positioned above the compact Refine S5 in JAC's lineup. It was offered with turbocharged 1.5-liter (174 hp) and 2.0-liter (190 hp) four-cylinder engines, six-speed manual or dual-clutch transmissions, and available five- or seven-seat configurations.

The Refine S7 was assembled in both Hefei, China and at JAC's factory in Ciudad Sahagún, Mexico — the latter through a long-standing joint venture with Giant Motors, the company controlled by Carlos Slim. In Latin American markets the model was marketed as the JAC T80 or JAC Sei 7. A mild facelift arrived in 2018 with revised grilles, bumpers, and taillamps. Production ended around 2020, with the nameplate succeeded by the Sehol X7.
