History

The JAC Refine A60 was previewed as the Refine A6 concept at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show and shown in near-production form at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. Despite high ambitions as the successor to the Binyue flagship sedan, the production Refine A60 was not launched in China until December 2016 — more than two years after its reveal.

Sales were deeply disappointing: JAC sold only approximately 2,427 units between its December 2016 launch and July 2017, when the model was already discontinued. The Refine A60 never overcame its long development delays and the highly competitive executive sedan market; JAC subsequently shifted focus away from large sedans toward SUVs and electric vehicles.
